During Franco's dictatorship, a number of colonization villages were established throughout Spain to repopulate rural areas. Specifically, in the Campo de Dalías, agricultural production was very fruitful thanks to the implementation of greenhouses. As a result, the population of the area has been increasing to the point that colonization villages have not provided the scope and much of the population working in the countryside lives in infra-housing.

This project aims to give rise to these people within the colonization peoples, e.g. the village of El Solanillo, through a vertical growth system. New housing is collective housing where different services such as cooking, bathing or laundry are shared and where the most private part is created with modules that can be assembled or separated according to the need of each. It has also been wanted to create a connection with existing housing to prevent segregation among villagers.
